Sam Ten
CM: Why do you shop at the Market?
Sam Ten- Sam Ten- Community Market is one of my favorite places in Santa Rosa. I shop there because it is the best source of natural foods other than backyard gardens (you have to have the talent and a plot) and farmers markets (you have to have the money.) I am a passionate natural foods cook, probably spending from 2-4 hours in the kitchen each day.
CM: What is your favorite thing about the Market?
Sam Ten- -My favorite thing about Community Market is that it is a very personal experience. Staff actually seems glad to see me. I have likewise become familiar with staff and enjoy seeing them. I think maybe this has to do with me being in the store just about every other day. There is an integrity about the products sold and about the staff. I like that Community Market is a worker-run collective.
CM: : What is your favorite food / product/department?
Sam Ten- Other Favorite Things about Community Market: That all of the fruits and vegetables are organic, that the origin of the products are specified, the Bulk Section and the Bulk Herb/Spice Section. These sections are a joy to the cook.
CM: Tell us about yourself.
Sam Ten- I am a certified Natural Foods Chef. When I prepare foods, it is primarily with Community Market Produce and Herbs/Spices.
