Grocery Department

The Community Market Grocery Department has a huge selection of the highest quality packaged foods available anywhere. We carefully research all products, ensuring that only the healthiest, safest and tastiest ones make it onto our shelves. You won't find any artificial ingredients, hydrogenated oils, bleached flours or preservatives listed in any of our products. We also have a great selection of gluten-free, low sodium, and vegan items so that everyone can find what they need! Our Grocery Department has much to offer, including the largest raw foods section in the Bay Area, an extensive and decadent chocolate section, a huge selection of organic and fair-trade teas, an impressive lineup of oils and vinegars, as well as a wide variety of juices, cereals, grains, pastas, sauces and soups, as well as an entire aisle of baking products.

We also offer a large variety of non-food items, such as non-toxic and biodegradable cleaning sprays, dish soaps, laundry detergents, glass cleaners, stain removers, recycled paper products and compostable bags, as well as a small section of high quality pet foods and products.

Refrigerated, Frozen & Bakery

Our Refrigerated Department features a wide range of organic dairy products and ethically produced eggs, a great lineup of tofu, tempeh and seitan, and an amazing selection of rennetless cheeses and vegan alternatives. We have a variety of fermented beverages from Kombucha to Jun, a Deli case with many packaged salads, sandwiches and wraps, and a great selection of wholesome fresh-baked breads (click here to view the bread delivery schedule) and tortillas, including lots of wheat-free/gluten free options. Our frozen section has an ice-cream freezer with something for everyone, as well as a huge variety of entrees, appetizers, veggie burgers and meat alternatives.

Produce Department

Community Market's Provides the only 100% organic produce department in Santa Rosa. We have experienced buyers who work hard to bring you the freshest, highest quality Organic produce available at reasonable prices. We are committed to providing our customers with food that is grown as close to home as possible, buying direct from several Sonoma County farms and vendors. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is ready to answer any question you might have regarding seasonality, cooking methods and sources of our produce. Though the department is small, we provide a wide selection of fruits and vegetables, and several specialty, seasonal and Fair Trade items. We also feature Organic plant seeds and starts, sprouting seeds and accessories, and fresh wheat grass by the flat.

Bulk Department

Our bulk department is full of a wide array of products. You can find flours, pastas, granolas, nuts and candies, honey, coffee, dog and cat food, oils, fruits, and much more. Most items are cheaper when bought in bulk and it helps the environment by reducing packaging materials. You can bring your own jar or bag or we have bags and containers for you to use here. Be sure to stop by the cashiers to get a tare weight on your own containers before you fill them up in our bulk section. We also have a bulk herb section located in our supplements department. This section contains some of the most tasty tea blends around as well as medicinal herbs, spices and seasonings, veggie broths, and much more.

Supplement Department

At Community Market, we carry a wide variety supplements for all your needs. We pride ourselves on having a knowledgeable staff specifically trained to provide you with best customer service possible. Some of the sections in our supplements department include: Antioxidants, Joint Health, Brain Health, Sleep Aids, Mens & Womens Supplements, Homeopathics, Cold and Flu, Vitamins A-E, Minerals, Multi-Vitamins, Green Foods, Protein Powders, Amino Acids, Nutritional Oils, Probiotics, Digestive Enzymes, Single Herbs, bulk and single tinctures, Cleansing and much more. We try our best to bring you the highest quality supplements at a reasonable price.

Body Care Department

There are plenty of reasons to love Community Market's personal care department. We carry a wide variety of facial care and tooth care products. An array of natural soaps, shampoos, and lotions. Let's not forget about the bulk personal care section that has an abundance of shampoos, conditioners, lotions and massage oils. All our personal care products have the highest quality, most natural ingredients available. To make it easy for you to choose the best, we have implemented a "Green Light" bodycare system. There is now a detailed list of chemicals that we consider harmful and a second list of ingredients we could not classify due to a lack of information. Each list is in alphabetical order by ingredient name. Each ingredient is listed with the purpose it serves in a product and why it is harmful or if there is not enough information to make an assessment. These lists are available online. You can ask an employee to have a look at the lists. All Green Light products are vegetarian and completely clean and free of harsh or unknown chemicals and now have a green price tag, while the products with some questionable ingredients keep the standard yellow tag.

Mercantile Department

In our Mercantile department, we carry many different products such as clothing (mostly gloves and hats for the winter time), incense, an assortment of stickers, buttons, cards, candles, solar flashlights, teapots, coffee mugs, and many different style of containers. During the holidays, we sell an assortment of calendars as well as umbrellas for the rainy season. We try our best to bring in the most ethical products possible from fair trade companies and local artists. Currently, we are working on creating a strictly local section in which we will sell products that are only made locally by independent Sonoma County artists.
